Thomasine Loerbs “Tom, Tommy, Nanny” (Manfrede), age 70, of Richmond Hill,
Queens, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
Thomasine was born in Brooklyn on September 8,1950. She was married to John H.
Loerbs on October 19, 1968; they were married 52 years.
Thomasine worked as a benefit authorizer, PETE and Division Post entitlement
technical expert for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years. She was a
devoted wife, truly amazing mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, reading,
music, scrabble, baking, taking trips to Wildwood Crest & Cape May, NJ with her family.
She loved most of all being a Nanny to her granddaughter Brieanne and watching her
grow up to be a wonderful young woman. She was a parishioner of Holy Child Jesus
Church and a dear friend to many.
Thomasine is survived by her husband John, son Christian, daughter-in-law Iris Torres,
daughter Heather Fiorica, son-in-law Anthony Fiorica, granddaughter Brieanne Fiorica,
mother-in-law Gertrude Loerbs, sisters Josephine Hearn, Catherine Farrell, Annie
Mahler, Elaine LaFratta (Manfrede), Lorraine Willis(Manfrede), brothers Robert
Manfrede, Mark Manfrede, Allen Manfrede, sister-in-laws Elizabeth Hepburn, Kathrine
Pirog, Bernie Loerbs, Barb Loerbs, Julie Manfrede, brother-in-laws Herb Loerbs, John
Hepburn, Ed Pirog, Philip LaFratta, Mike Hearn, many nieces, nephews and friends.
